Returns & Refunds Policy (Grand Diamond Tools)

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Return requests (approval required)

All returns must be requested and approved before anything is sent back. To start a return, contact us at info@granddiamondtools.ca with:


  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you’d like to return

  • A brief reason for the return

  • Photos of the item(s) and packaging (required)

Returns sent to us without prior approval will not be accepted.

If your return is approved, we’ll provide return instructions and the return address below.

Eligibility (must be new, unused, and unopened)

To be eligible for a return, items must be:


  • New, unused, and unopened

  • In original packaging with all parts/accessories included

  • Free of any signs of installation, mounting, grinding dust, slurry, wear, or handling marks

We may refuse a return or reduce the refund if the item shows signs of use, installation, or is not in original condition.

Diamond tooling & consumables (final sale if opened/used)

Due to the nature of diamond tooling and abrasive products, all diamond tooling/abrasives are final sale once opened or used.
This includes (but is not limited to): diamond segments/shoes, cup wheels, PCD, polishing pads, abrasives, and other consumable wear items.

Return shipping

Unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped) or a verified defect, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable service. We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit.

Restocking fee

Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee (unless the return is due to our error or a verified defect). This fee covers inspection, handling, and reprocessing.

Damages, defects, and wrong items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us within 48 hours if your item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong item. Send photos of:


  • The item

  • The packaging

  • The shipping label/box

If we confirm the issue, we’ll make it right (replacement, refund, or other resolution as appropriate).

Non-returnable items

We do not accept returns for:


  • Used or opened diamond tooling/abrasives/consumables

  • Final sale/clearance items

  • Special-order / made-to-order / custom items

  • Any item returned without approval (RMA)

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to get what you need is to request an approved return (if eligible) and place a new order.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your approved return, we’ll notify you whether your refund is approved. If approved, your refund will be issued to the original payment method (minus any applicable restocking fee and original shipping charges, if any) within 10 business days. Your bank or credit card company may take additional time to post the refund.

To exchange an item, please contact us first with your order number and the item you’d like to exchange. Once approved, we’ll provide return instructions and confirm the replacement item. Exchange requests must be made within our eligible return window, and the item must be unused, in original condition, and in its original packaging. If there is any price difference between items, we’ll let you know before processing the exchange.

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.

If your order arrived damaged, please contact us as soon as possible at info@granddiamondtools.ca or 519-997-2323 with your order number, photos of the damage, and photos of the packaging. This helps us review the issue quickly and arrange the best resolution. Depending on the situation, we may offer a replacement, exchange, or approved return.

Please do not discard the item or packaging until we’ve reviewed your claim.

Please keep the item unused and in its original packaging until we confirm the return or exchange process.

Shipping Policy

Order Fulfillment

Most in-stock orders are fulfilled the same business day if ordered before 2PM EST. Estimated delivery times begin after fulfillment and may vary depending on destination, carrier, weather, and other factors outside our control.

Non-Bulky Items (tooling, cupwheels, blades, etc)

Standard Shipping Areas

(Excludes Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Yukon, and Northwest Territories)

  • Standard Shipping: $35 CAD
  • Free Standard Shipping: Orders of $500 CAD or more
  • Estimated Delivery: 1–5 business days
  • Express Shipping (typically next day delivery): $55 CAD

Remote Areas

(Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Yukon, and Northwest Territories)

  • Standard Shipping: $95 CAD

Remote destinations may require additional review. While we aim to honor our posted shipping rates, we reserve the right to adjust shipping charges if the actual cost to ship to a remote location is materially higher than the standard remote rate.

Bulky Items (vacuum hoses, wands, large cables, etc)

Bulky items are subject to the same general shipping structure as above, with adjusted rates due to size, packaging, and carrier handling requirements.

  • Standard Shipping: $35 CAD
  • Free Standard Shipping: Orders of $500 CAD or more
  • Estimated Delivery: 1–5 business days

Remote Areas

(Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Yukon, and Northwest Territories)

  • Standard Shipping: $150 CAD

Bulky items shipping to remote destinations are subject to review. In certain cases—particularly for extremely remote locations or unusually high carrier charges—additional shipping charges may apply beyond the standard $150 remote rate. If this occurs, we will contact you before processing shipment to confirm the revised shipping cost.

Oversized Equipment & Freight Items

Oversized items, including equipment and certain large freight shipments, require a custom shipping quote.

These items are not eligible for standard flat-rate shipping. Once your order is reviewed, we will contact you with the best available shipping option and any applicable freight charges before shipment is arranged.

  • Shipping rates apply to orders within Canada only.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.
  • We reserve the right to review and adjust shipping charges in cases involving remote destinations, oversized packaging, multi-box shipments, or unusually high carrier costs.
  • If an adjustment is required, we will contact you prior to shipping.

We offer free standard shipping on orders over $500 CAD within standard shipping areas in Canada.

Orders under $500 are subject to flat-rate shipping, and rates vary depending on item size and destination. Remote areas and oversized or freight items may require additional shipping charges or a custom quote.

Absolutely! Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to monitor your package's progress in real-time.
